Members of the Intercruises North America team recently gathered in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, for a two-day workshop entitled Foundations. The workshop, the first of 2019, was a fantastic opportunity for the team to discuss and explore the current business as well as develop solid foundations on which to align the future strategy for across the region.
Over 40 team members attended the event, which comprised various workshops, discussions, and presentations, and ultimately offered a dynamic environment for the teams to voice and share their ideas across the group. The attendees also participated in several team-building activities such as an Intercruises’ Masterchef competition, where they all prepared a delicious feast to enjoy together later in the evening.
“This workshop was a chance for our North America teams to reflect and build upon the basis of our core businesses together. In the last 12 months, we’ve had had some fantastic new members join the region and have also introduced many new developments in terms of products and services. It’s very important for all teams to be aligned across all regions, and workshops such as this create a very effective and interactive platform to do just that.”
Olga Piqueras, Managing Director
Intercruises Global Turnaround Manager, Wen Ciu Lee Koo, who also attended, summed up her experience of the event: “This workshop really reinforced the idea of how strong we are as a team. Sometimes we get carried away with our own experience and knowledge without realizing that there are more answers to our challenges – some of which are staring at us in the face. We didn’t just review our goals for the upcoming year, we participated in numerous activities and working sessions that have strengthened our relationships as a team. One that stuck out for me in particular was when we were asked rank ourselves in order of our experience in the industry. We calculated a total of 1,421 years in the room!
