Intercruises Netherlands is currently preparing for a big season ahead with the addition of four new faces to its team in Amsterdam. Having recently won a sizeable contract with Aida/Costa Cruises for the upcoming season, the team has grown its in-house team in the hope of moving many of its previously-outsourced processes, such as recruitment and guide planning, to now be managed under the same roof.

Until recently, Intercruises Netherlands was the only remaining Intercruises destination to outsource its staff recruitment needs. With plans to employ over 150 staff this season alone, the team will now manage recruitment internally, allowing a more personal, efficient and cost-effective recruitment process, while also enabling them to place a greater focus on quality assurance. The team has also recently adapted the internal IMS staffing system to manage their tour guides – another process that was previously outsourced.

The new team members include Isabella Tirelli, Serena Bragdon, Mascha Lusing and Isabel Bosseray.

Country Manager Netherlands & Belgium, Kim Donkers says: “I’m very excited with the recent expansion of the team. All four of them have fantastic experience in the industry and will make great additions to the future of Intercruises Netherlands. Our strong team is now even stronger, and we’re well-prepared and looking forward to a very busy and successful season ahead!”

The 2019 season will no doubt be an exciting one for Intercruises Netherlands. Following a two-year trial, the team has also recently developed and launched a new luggage program through an exclusive partnership with Bagpoint. The program allows guests to remotely check-in their luggage at the cruise terminal after disembarking. The luggage is then managed and sent to Schiphols baggage handling system with the use of smart technology and official airline labels, before being placed onto the plane directly. This allows guests more time to enjoy Amsterdam while also making the last leg of their journey hassle-free.

Good luck to the new team this season!
