It’s official – Feburary 2018 will go down in the Intercruises Australia history books as the country’s busiest month EVER!
Despite being the shortest month of the year, the Australia team managed the successful delivery of:
- 96 cruise calls
- Four pre & post programs
- Two overland programs
- A World Cruise Event
- 20 different ships being handled across 26 different ports
- 25,000 guests participating in 413 shore excursions
- Embarkation and debarkation for 110,000 during 21 turnaround operations
“I really am in awe of the effort the team has put in, of course throughout the entire season, but especially in February. It was a critical month and unprecedented in terms of the concentration of operations in a short space of time. We would not have accomplished all that we did had everyone not put in a shift and been focussed on the job in hand. The professionalism and spirit displayed has impressed, inspired and motivated in equal measure. The seasonality of what we do around the world is not easy but what never ceases to amaze is that when peak season hits, Intercruises teams dig deep, make sacrifices and carry on no matter what obstacles are in the way. I’m so happy to see the hard work pay off and be recognised by our clients!” – Martin Bidgood, Regional Director Australia
This has been a monumentous month for Intercruises Australia, and is truly testament to the team spirit Intercrusies never fails to demonstrate. A huge congratulations to all the teams involved for a job well done!
