The annual India & Indian Ocean (INIO) regional workshop was recently held in Mauritius, bringing together representatives from South Africa, Sri Lanka, Mauritius and the Intercruises Global Platform to discuss how to best “adapt our services and products to match an active and changing cruise market with evolving customers’ demands”.
Elena Garcia, Regional Manager India & Indian Ocean, led the workshop and commented: “The cruise industry is growing and changing fast, with the needs of the cruise lines and their guests always evolving. This workshop was about sharing experiences and expertise on how to ride this wave of change in order to maintain a competitive product offering.”

“Sharing product expertise and client insights across Intercruises destinations, countries and regions is crucial for us to remain competitive and these workshops enable this to happen. All regions are developing new and innovative tours that can be adapted and replicated to work in different destinations or with different cruise lines, a real advantage that we have over our competitors and something that we are working to truly leverage.” Said Carmen Morosan, Global Shorex Manager, who shared product expertise from different regions and provided an overview of the Intercruises Global Platform.
Attendees also participated in site inspections in Mauritius, were in port for a Hapag Lloyd call and a number of team building exercises, including a Mauritian cooking class.
