Representatives from Lloyd’s Register, an independent auditor, recently visited the Intercruises Barcelona office in order to review processes related to the ISO 9001 (Quality Management) and ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) accreditations. Departments involved in the audit included:
- Barcelona Operations – Turnarounds, Shore Excursions, Port agency & Hotels
- Mediterranean Bidding Process
- Human Resources
- Marketing & Communications
- Health & Safety
The head of each department spent between 30 minutes and an hour with the auditors, answering questions regarding their processes and providing evidence to support that the processes were followed.
“The audit went very well and each team did great. We did not receive any non-conformities and the auditors just made one recommendation as to how we evaluate our training processes. There is a very significant amount of work that goes on behind the scenes in order for us to retain these accreditations and I want to thank the departments involved and also my team.” Said Cristina Palos, Business Processes Manager
The Business Processes Department is now working with each of the teams on updating their processes in line with the new ISO standards released last year, with Intercruises due to be audited again in early 2018.
