Dear Cruise Line,

I just wanted to let you know that I received some excellent service from Intercruises regarding a baggage mishap that was totally my fault. I am a Royal Caribbean diamond member and had just come back from sailing on the Enchantment of the Seas. I have spent a lot of time on the road for business and pleasure over the past 40 years and in that time I have never accidentally picked up another passenger’s baggage, which is exactly what happened this time. I received a call from Ms. Sabrina Edwards regarding my mistake and she very courteously and efficiently explained the normal procedures. Unfortunately, I was already on the other side of Florida when I received the message that I had picked someone else’s baggage and would not make it back in time before the next sailing and, as my flight was scheduled to depart on Saturday, I could not swap the bags on Monday and I didn’t want my baggage going into storage. Now here is where the exemplary service comes. I was given the name and phone number of another employee at Intercruises by the name of Elmer Neal and we set up a time and place when I would return to Miami later that evening. Mr. Neal was very accommodating and asked me not to rush or change my plans but just let him know at my convenience when I would make it back. Just like clockwork, Mr. Neal met me with my baggage and I swapped the incorrect bag with him. When I offered to pay for Mr. Neal’s fuel or offer him a tip for his inconvenience as he was doing this on his own time, he refused and said that he was just doing his job. The more I insisted, the more he refused. I run a small business with 48 employees and I wish I had more than a few employees like Ms Edwards and Mr. Neal who would go the extra mile to make sure the customer is satisfied. I know a lot of times you hear the complaints but rarely hear the accolades. This is one where I have nothing but praise for how the people at Intercruises worked to rectify my mistake. I am looking forward to my next cruise with Royal Caribbean. Thank you and hope you have a great day.
