Intercruises representatives were present in London to participate in the 2017 CLIA Executive Partner Conference, where key cruise line contacts and cruise industry stakeholders came together to discuss issues and developments.
Olga Piqueras, Managing Director, participated as a “judge/shark” during an activity in the format of the popular TV show “Shark Tank”, also known as “Dragon’s Den”. A small team of cruise industry experts, including cruise line and port representatives, discussed different proposals from the audience and provided feedback on how they could be taken forward.
Simon O’Sullivan, Director Northern Europe, also took a key role in the event program, joining senior representatives from Disney Cruise Line, Princess Cruises and RoyalCaribbean in discussing technology being implemented to enhance the cruise guest experience. In addition to looking at the technological advances in check-in systems, Simon highlighted key developments in shorex, including Augmented Reality tours and the Intercruises eLearning system, which has seen over 1650 guides worldwide complete a training related to service delivery in the cruise industry in approximately four months. The panel also discussed onboard entertainment, baggage handling and Princess Cruises Medallion.
Intercruises was the Official Logistics Partner at the CLIA Executive Partner Conference, held in London, February 6th & 7th 2017, with the local Intercruises team providing registration, directional and general event support. In May 2017, Intercruises will once again reprise the role of Official Logistics Partner during the CLIA Summit at Sea.
