Intercruises Barcelona & Palma teams successfully passed their ISO audits for its Quality and Environmental policies. The audits, performed by independent auditors from Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance Limited (LRQA), evaluated the continuous compliance of the management system against the requirements of ISO 9001 (in Barcelona and Mallorca) and ISO 14001 (Barcelona).
After carefully evaluating the review of the established Quality Management System (QMS), Hotel Operations, Port Agency Operations, Human Resources and Passenger Services (Mallorca), LRQA auditors concluded that the management system continues to be routinely implemented and conforms to the requirements of ISO 9001: 2008 and ISO 14001: 2004 standards. The auditors noted that a great strength pointed out by the auditors was the competence of all the staff that was interviewed.

As next steps Intercruises will start working towards the planning and implementation of the requirements of the new norms – ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015, which need to be certified by 2018. This will include involvement on all company levels in order to achieve greater emphasis on Leadership in the QMS by Top Management and implement Risk-Based Approach to identify and reduce any potential risks for the business.
