Marinella Megaro, Account Manager Port Agency Services Italy, exemplified the Intercruises spirit of going beyond the call of duty when she assisted a distressed family in Italy. A couple were taking a cruise on the Italian coast before the wife fell ill and was forced to debark the ship. Marniella organised a transfer to the hospital and acted as the point of contact for the family during this time.
Due to her fantastic performance, the family took the time to write a heart warming email about how much Marniella’s care meant to them. Below is excerpts from that letter:
I am writing to make you aware of the incredibly high level of customer services demonstrated by your Port Agency Account Manager – Marinella Megaro, during a recent family emergency. My father had already been full of praise for the “port agent”, and I was soon able to talk directly to Marinella who offered her services to assist “ at any time, day or night”. True to her word Marinella was pretty much on speed dial, acting as translator, negotiator, and dare I say councillor for us when emotions started to run high.
It is no exaggeration to say that we simply could not have coped without this assistance. I’ll sign off by saying that after returning home we were discussing our whirlwind week in Italy with my Father. He said with a tear forming in his eye “Marinella, that’s a name I’ll never forget”.
