This Saturday March 28th 2015, millions of people will take part in the Earth Hour movement by switching off their lights for 60 minutes. Earth Hour is organised by the Worldwide Wildlife Federation (WWF), and engages a massive mainstream community on a broad range of environmental issues (learn more here).
Earth Hour was famously started as a lights-off event in Sydney in 2007; since then it has grown to encompass more than 7000 cities and towns worldwide. The event takes place from 8.30 – 9.30pm at your local time – support Earth Hour by turning off your non essential lights or visit the “Events Tracker” to see if there is an Earth Hour event taking place near you!
